Almanca "psychisch" kelimesi "ruhsal" veya "zihinsel" anlamına gelen bir sıfattır. "Psyche" (ruh, zihin) kelimesinden türetilmiştir. "Psychisch" genellikle duygusal, zihinsel veya akıl sağlığı ile ilgili durumları tanımlamak için kullanılır. Almanca'da benzer terimler arasında "mental" (akılcı, zihinsel) ve "seelisch" (manevi, ruhsal) bulunur.
Fark:
- "psychisch" daha çok zihinsel ve ruhsal süreçlerle ilgiliyken,
- "seelisch" genellikle daha derin, manevi ruh hallerini belirtir.
- "mental" ise daha çok bilişsel ve entelektüel işlemlere vurgu yapar.
